REASONS TO COME EARLY: Allen Stone

Seattle’s most soulful hippie of all time is on his way to conquering your heart, and then the world. But not without stopping first at Merriweather Post Pavilion to play with local favorites O.A.R. and Jack’s Mannequin frontman Andrew McMahon in what could be the season’s most awesomely diverse line-up.

Just as diverse as the line-up is the impressive amount Stone has accomplished musically in his three years on the scene. He’s signed to Dave Matthews and Coran Capshaw’s ATO Records. He’s most recently contributed to The Music Is You: A Tribute to John Denver covering “Rocky Mountain High.” He’s lent his voice to fellow Seattleites Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ track “Neon Cathedral.” He’s performed on Ellen and even opened for the legendary Al Green. Is there anything this man can’t do?

An authentic, passionate, and smooth voice with honest lyrics that reflect Stone’s old-school soul influences, with a modern twist. It’s a sound that creates an atmosphere perfect for a summer night. Be sure to come early, you will definitely be glad you did!
